Lots of final touches, changes, redo’s and decisions. This is what it took to put together this new website during my free time. Finally my legacy site on the web is now live.
I was inspired to embrace my love of photography, and to jump in with both feet this year. As a Gemini I am often full of ideas and dreams; one after the other. All dabbled with, some mastered, but then something else comes along. “Look a bird!..” I am a born creative with no shortage of ideas, inventions, hopes and plans. But photography.. that’s one idea, hope, and plan that has never left me.
As I step into middle age, I have been truly embracing the experience. I am enjoying writing the second half of my legacy. My only wish of course, is that I hadn’t waited so long to embrace my interests and hobbies a little bit more.
This past fall, I read the book “Be Useful: Seven Tools For Life” by Arnold Schwarzenegger. It resonated with me. Perhaps because I could imagine his voice as I read, perhaps because he articulated some things I have always known or thought; but he put them just the right way to light a fire of inspiration.
Have you recently remembered an old hobby or goal you set aside for a time? If you are feeling ready to revisit a hobby or dream that got put on the back burner for a time;I say give it a real try.
What do you envision for yourself or your family in 2024? Can you clearly see, in your minds eye -what your goal, project, or ideal adventure might look like? Once you have this in sharp focus, things really do seem to fall into place-with some hard work. The work of it brings joy and satisfaction. Each accomplishment or challenge inspires you to work harder. This is when you know you have found your passion; your ‘thing’.
What do I envision for 2024?
- Increasing my skill level
- Creating this website and a blog here; that others can relate to, learn from, and find value in for many years to come.
- Mastering some new equipment and concepts
- Capturing history wether through photographs or my account of life in Canada going forward.
Sit down one of these days soon, and rewrite your own ending too. What do you want to be remembered for? How do you want to spend your time? What skill have you always wanted to acquire. What gifts can you use to help others? Make a snapshot in your mind and go from there!
Best of Luck to you in your goals, and Happy New Year!
